Originally the land we now have gardens on was covered with citrus groves.  When we purchased the property the citrus groves had been cleared and the only remaining vegetation were a few oak trees and sabal palms.  As the garden were developed with trees, shrubs and plants the wildlife returned.  Among the wildlife has been a white-tailed Florida deer that made herself  right at home in the garden!
